April History Hour: The History of Gardens in Athens

Did you know the very first garden club in the U.S. started right here in Athens? In celebration of National Garden Month, we’re digging into the history of gardening and garden clubs in Athens, their impact on beautifying our city, and the civic power of green spaces. Whether you’ve got a green thumb or not, you’ll love this story of plants, preservation, and community pride.

History Hour with Historic Athens One Story is a free monthly education program reoccurring on the first Tuesday of the month at the Lyndon House Arts Center with complimentary lunch from Rashe's Cuisine provided on a first come, first serve basis with vegan options available.
